        CONTEMPORARY ART

·        In my studio practice, I paint using mix media on various surfaces. I often juxtapose my own art photography with painted image in material or digital format. In both formats my contemporary artistic conversation may be viewed via links to Zaheer Chaudhry

·        I teach as Visiting Professor at National College of Arts, Lahore. Specifically, courses related to Ideations and Art Direction/Environment, Design for Game and VR, Film. 2020 to date

 

·        CRSA Carbon Roadside Arts

As a director, in 2006, I started Pakistan’s 1^st travelling based child art education initiative for rural children. I personally travel to remote villages of Pakistan with basic art supplies and projector. I set up small classrooms often supported by local government schools, in which I conduct art classes, observation-based workshops, out-door photography exhibitions and whenever possible offer cinema/ film screenings.

 

E.     CURATION

F.     TRAVEL, ADVENTURE AND REGIONAL HISTORY RESEARCH

·        Travel writer for DW - Deutsche Welle Pakistan.2022 till date

·     My directorial venture, eP -explorePakistan is country’s first social-media project in which culture and heritage are documented from the perspective of a traveler. I initiated it in 2007 right after Facebook was launched, to share my personal photograph-based travel stories to significant yet less discovered spots in Pakistan. I document city heritage, timeworn architectural and cultural objects, people in their original environs, and often times beautiful frames that only an artist can see. More than 75 story albums from listed locations are available to public.
