It was not just a tree...

اک اندازے کے مطابق کچھ دو ہزار صحتمند پودے اک پچاس سالہ درخت کے کٹنے کا مداوا نہیں کر پاتے کیوں کہ ایک درخت محض سبز پتوں کا ہی احاطہ نہیں رکھتا بلکہ یہ کئی پرندوں اور ان گنت حشرات کا گھر ہوتا، زمین میں اسکی جڑیں اسے بھی کئی طرح کے فوائد دیتیں یہ ماحولیاتی معاشرہ صرف اک درخت قائم رکھتا۔

ایک پودا جو ایک انسانی نسل کے ساتھ ساتھ جوان ہوا، پھل اور سایہ دیا ہر موسم میں ساتھ نبھایا اور پھر گھر کے بزرگوں کی طرح انکے بچوں کے جھولنے کیلئے اپنے مظبوط کندھے بھی پیش کئے اس پرانے گھر میں اپنی ہم عصرنسل کی کئی نا مٹنے والی یاداشتوں کو رقم کیا، اس نئی نسل کے جوان ہونے کا سب سے پہلا نقصان اسی بزرگ کو ہی ہوا، بچوں کے جوان ہونے پہ اور مزید بچے پیدا کرنے کیلئے گھر چھوٹا پڑ گیا نئے کمروں کی تعمیر کیلئے جگہ کم ہونے پہ سب سے پہلی نظر گھر کے صحن پہ گئی اور یہاں کھڑا تھا یہ درخت، اسے کاٹ دیا گیا، یہ محض درخت تو نہیں تھا۔۔۔

It is estimated that about two thousand healthy plants cannot compensate for the cutting of a fifty-year-old tree because a tree is not just a collection of green leaves, but it is also home to many birds and countless insects. Its roots in the ground provide many benefits, and this ecological society only maintains a tree.

A plant that grew up with a human generation, gave fruit and shade, accompanied it in every season, and then like the elders of the house, offered its strong shoulders for the swings of their children. It recorded many indelible memories of its contemporaries in this old house. The first loss of this new generation growing up was to this elder. When the children grew up and had more children, the house became too small. When there was less space for new rooms, the first look went to the courtyard of the house and there stood this tree. It was cut down, it was not just a tree...
